The lowest possible tuition and cost, with no hidden fees
How much will your degree program really cost? This question never receives a straightforward answer at most universities.
Euclid University Consortium offers one of the lowest tuition rates available for a distance / online degree program enjoying governmental and intergovernmental endorsement.
Euclid's fee structure is as follows:
(1) Upon enrollment, students are charged a one-time non-refundable fee of €500 (Outside North America) / $600 (North America).
As of November 2007, due to currency fluctuations, residents of the US dollar zone may pay $600 regardless or the Euro/Dollar rate and $130 / per US credit.
(2) Enrolled students may petition for credit equivalencies. There is a non-refundable €20 ($25 approx.) per credit fee to cover for the admission / faculty evaluation time required to assess the evidence submitted.
(3) As each course is started, students pay for their courses on a per credit basis.
Remarkably, Euclid charges no graduation fee to process the completed student records, forward them the member universities and coordinate the joint degree issuance process.

^ 90 credits of post-graduate studies after the bachelor's represents the international standard for doctoral programs. 55 is based on a 35 credit-hour master's degree in a matching field. Doctoral credits are obtained through regular courses capped by a 25 credit hour thesis.
# Prospective students should add the initial enrollment fee + the residual cost of textbooks, materials and courseware to obtain a realistic estimate. Most textbooks can be obtained used and then resold on such sites as Amazon.com or ABEBooks.com
As a result, the approximate total cost of a Euclid program is:
| Degree |
Estimated Total |
| Bachelor's |
€/$ 14,000 - 17,000 |
| Master's |
€/$ 5,500 - 7,000 |
| Doctorate |
€/$ 7,000 - 9,000 |
Note: Many students are able to transfer prior credits or obtain credit equivalencies, hence reducing the number of credits required to complete their degree program.
By comparison, an MBA will cost you $13,000 at Heriot Watt, $19,000 at Capella and $20,000+ at U. of Phoenix (excluding the cost of textbooks and materials).
As far as we have been able to determine, the lowest tuition for online degrees (in the United States) is offered by the University of Nebraska at Kearny. Their cost per credit / hour is still greater than $200.
